McFatter Technical High School offers an integrated curriculum, state-of-the-art technology, project based learning, alternative assessment, digitized portfolios, technical exhibition, college-type block scheduling, industry involvement and distance learning. As part of the Broward County Public School District, the school serves approximately 600 students in grades 9-12 and has impressively earned consecutive "A" ratings from the Florida Department of Education since the first graduating class in 2002!

As a whole school magnet McFatter is committed to providing an education for ALL students that allows them the opportunity to achieve three primary goals:
In order to achieve these goals, every student is required to take a college preparatory curriculum of 24 credits, predetermined by the state of Florida, and an 8 credit course of study in a technical field selected by the student. McFatter requires the same 24 credits for all students. The 8 technical credits are studied in the junior and senior years. Qualified students are dual-enrolled for post-secondary credit in the technical courses.
McFatter Technical High School, conveniently located on the South Florida Education Center (SFEC) campus, is 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. The high school offers students the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work, as well as earn a technical certification.
